** Sun, sea and sign-ups! **
A record breaking event for the VEGAN lifestyle ASSOCIATION.
A great day was had by all at the Bournemouth Vegan Fair this Sunday!
People were queuing an hour before the doors opened and we knew it was going to be great!
Lizzi (Dorset Vegan) the organiser did a great job of having a fantastic mix of stalls there and a team of friendly and willing helpers – which made the day run very smoothly indeed.
It was packed from start to finish and as ever our colourful stand and huge food/product display drew lots of attention.
So much so, that 250 people joined the VLA as Associates!
That was 50 an hour – what a fantastic response!
PLUS we had several people come specifically to see us – to thank us for the help that we gave them last year (when we ran the first ever easy2bvegan pilot) all of whom are now living a full vegan lifestyle as a result! We were so thrilled to meet them and know the positive impact our work has on peoples’ and animals’ lives. This is what our work is about.
Chantal, Dave and Annie all chatted to hundreds of people and were able to offer friendly advice, help and support – much of it to new vegans and non vegans, which was really encouraging.
We all sensed a growing interest in the ethics of the lifestyle and people being concerned for the environment too.
