Products

Living a Vegan lifestyle is far more than just a dietary choice. In seeking to eliminate animal suffering, Vegans choose personal products that contain no
animal derived ingredients and that haven’t been tested on live animals (during a process known as ‘vivisection’).

There are three shocking things to note:

  1. A vast amount of personal products still include animal derived ingredients such as beeswaxhttp://www.veganpeace.com/animal_cruelty/honey.htm , gelatinhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gelatin#Production and lanolin http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lanolin

  2. A vast amount of products and component ingredients are still tested on animals before making it to market.

And most shockingly…

  1. #1 and #2 are completely unnecessary because there are cruelty-free alternatives for everything you could possibly need in your day to day life.

There are thousands of products you can buy, right now if you want to, making it easy to be vegan! Plus many Vegan products are far kinder to the
environment and to your household as well. You can become a conscious and conscientious consumer today.

As many of us do our household shopping in well known supermarkets, we asked them all about their current animal testing policy:

Note of caution – although their products may not be tested on animals, please be aware they may still contain animal derived ingredients and you will
need to check the labels for this and contact them directly if you are unsure of anything.
