My Account – Information


INTRODUCTION

When you register as an Associate or an Associate & Supporter, as well as being able to access exclusive benefits on the site, you will have a personal account area.

From here you can update your contact details, account login details and credit/debit card details.

LOGGING IN

You can log in by clicking the ‘Log in’ link at the top right of the website and entering your login details there. Log in using the email address and password that you registered with.

If you have forgotten your password, please click the ‘Lost Password’ link. You will be emailed a link that will allow you to change your password. Please check your spam folder if it does not arrive.

When successfully logged in, you will then be able to access the ‘My Account’ area by clicking ‘Account’.

MY ACCOUNT PAGE

The My Account page gives you access to your address and other account details. If you are making regular donations as an Associate & Supporter, information about your payments will appear under a section called ‘My Subscriptions’ (summary of payment information) and ‘Recent Orders’ (individual payments taken).

CHANGE YOUR ACCOUNT DETAILS

Click ‘Edit your password and account details’ in the greeting at the top of the ‘My Account’ page. You can change your name, email address and password. Click ‘Save Changes’ when you are finished.

CHANGE YOUR PAYMENT METHOD (ASSOCIATES & SUPPORTERS ONLY)

The ‘My Subscriptions’ section will display summary information about your current payment details and will allow you to change the card you use to make future donation payments if, for example, your existing card is about to expire.

1. Click on ‘Change Payment Method’.
2. Select a different card (if there is one), or select ‘use a new credit card’ and enter the card details.
3. Click ‘Change Payment method’.
4. A confirmation message will appear on the ‘My Account’ page.
5. If you added a new card and want to use that for future payments, click ‘Change Payment Method’ in the ‘My Subscriptions’ section again, ensure that your new card is selected, and click ‘Change Payment Method’ one last time.

Please note: if you change your card for future payments, please ensure that the billing address on your account matches that which is associated with your card, or payment might fail.

CHANGE YOUR BILLING ADDRESS

To change the address associated with your account to keep records up to date, or to ensure that the address matches the card you make payments with, please follow these steps:

1. Click the ‘Edit’ link next to the billing address
2. Enter your new address details
3. If matching an address to a payment card, click the ‘Update the address used for all of my active subscriptions’ checkbox
4. Click ‘Save Address’

CANCELLING YOUR DONATIONS (ASSOCIATES & SUPPORTERS ONLY)

If you wish to cancel your donations to the VLA, please call us on or email us at .

When your payments stop, you will still be able to access the benefits and offers of the Vegan Lifestyle Association site and your account will still be active. You can even come back and start payments again if you change your mind!

However, do let us know if you wish to stop being a (non-paying) Associate altogether. We will remove your account entirely, but bear in mind that you will no longer be able to access the offers and discounts on the website.

RENEWING YOUR DONATIONS AFTER CANCELLATION

A subscription might be cancelled either because you asked to cancel your payments or because the last automatic renewal payment failed.

In the ‘My Subscriptions’ area a ‘Renew’ button will be included after a subscription has been cancelled.

If you would like to renew your subscription, then clicking the ‘Renew’ button will direct you through the checkout process, so that you can choose which monthly donation you would like to make.

It will show up as a new entry in the ‘My Subscriptions’ area, above the entry that was cancelled.

DELETING A CARD

On the ‘Saved Cards’ section of the ‘My Account’ page, you can remove a card on your account by clicking the ‘Delete Card’ button.

UPGRADING FROM AN ASSOCIATE TO AN ASSOCIATE & SUPPORTER

Simply log in and click the ‘Support Us’ link at the top right of the site. You will then be taken through the checkout where you can choose how much you would like to pay.

CHANGING THE AMOUNT THAT YOU REGULARLY (ASSOCIATE & SUPPORTERS ONLY)

If you would like to change the amount that you pay the VLA on a regular basis, then please first cancel your existing donation payments by calling us on or emailing us on . Be aware that cancelling donations to the VLA will still grant you access to your account and all the same benefits as before.

Don’t forget to cancel your subscription before signing up for another, or you may end up paying twice!

When this has been done, you will be able to see a ‘Support Us’ link at the top right of the site when you log in. You will then be taken through the checkout where you can choose how much you would like to pay.
